Possible UPSIDE to Corporate Involvement in MJ Supply???

I usually hate the idea of corporate involvement in the marijuana supply chain.
The idea of pre-packed joints, with catchy brand names that have been market researched,
given distinctive logo's and advertising campaigns.... NIGHTMARE!!!

However, there is one aspect of the MJ business that some serious funding could really improve.

Over the last 4 or 5 decades, the quality of marijuana has improved MASSIVELY.
From the smuggled in types that ranged from the standard 'commercial class'
with more stalks and seeds than actual buds (and so compressed that the buds have been half destroyed, anyway)
to the Thai stick or Kerala Sensi that was a rare treat.
All now seem extremely tame, compared to the strains that have been created during very recent times.

When you consider that these massive improvements have been created by a very small number of people
working with few funds, even less equipment
and the constant fear of arrest and imprisonment - (for all but the last few years, in a few select places).
It's amazing just how much has been achieved.

Now imagine a HUGE CORPORATION.
Laboratories with cutting edge, state of the art technology.
Post Ph.D Pharmacologists and Chemists and Botanists .
And the prospect of a gigantic new LEGAL marketplace to enter,
encouraging VAST amounts of investment....
The research and design facilities of such a place could surely create new strains that would eclipse any we now have???

Personally I think that, for the next generation, at least, MJ buyers will shun any mass produced, production line packaged merchandise
in favour of the small, cottage industry.
The pride of ownership is more than a money thing
Creating the very best BUD is its OWN REWARD.

I would! Its like Mass produced honey or anything thats supposed to come from local sourcing;
Mass production ruins the quality and purity

In terms of technology sure big business does have it's positives. But when it comes to consumer goods, specifically things like wine, cigs, beer, weed ect. Corporations don't really do a whole lot except move jobs across seas increase prices to maximize profits only to pay the workers the least amount possible. So I disagree, cannabis isn't something that would actually benefit from the corporate circus. It's a plant, it's been relatively the same for thousands of years. Corporations stepping in to mass produce weed won't really do much except that, mass produce weed. Quantity over quality is one of the models of Corporate business.
