I have some clones that are about 18-26 inches tall in 1 gal pots are these to small for them. So i transfer them into 3 gal pots

Pics would help man but you really want to think about the root mass. If the whole pot you have it in is just one big root ball, then it is ready for another bigger pot. You don't want to let it get root bound before you transplant but also don't want to transplant too early either, if there are not enough roots to sustain the root/soil ball during transplant.

Can´t see the question here, but 3 gallon pots must be good. Bigger the roots, bigger the shoots.

pot sizes are the most important factor for plant size. back when i was new to MJ growing i did some dumb things.

the worst was leaving my plants in a little planter thing (the little 6 space thing that holds flowers at home depot)and not transplanting them for a month. they were trapped practicly and they reached a height of 5 inches MAX, each space used about 6 cubic inches of dirt. i then transffered them into pots of various sizes. the ones i put into a big 3 gallon pot Grew way faster and bigger then the others. to be exact about 2 weeks after i had transfered them i saw very noticable differences, i keep track of my plants growth so i can tell you that the one in the smallest pot grew inch taller over two weeks and a lot wider, but the plants in the large container grew 2.35 inches. so pot size REALLY counts.

in this case the bigger is always better!!

it sounds like your in too small a pot to me.. how tall you plan on growing them girls? 3 might be good but then again you may need 5gal if you are going to grow tall..

So I got some 3 gal pots with some super soil and mixed in some cattle and chicken manure. I guess I'm growing organic lol. Plants have grown about 3-4 inches since I tranfered them on Friday. What should I do to get them to grow wide and not so much up. I am thinking of vegging for another 3 weeks.
