pot size??

hey guys just wondering what is the recommeneded pot size i should use for growing arjans ultra haze 2 in soil and wanna keep in under 5 ft?i will be switching to a 400hps bulb before flowering atm im just using 200 wattts of 4 ft T5 CFLs.first grow obviously so any help is appreciated atm i have em in starting pots and i have 20cm by 25cm pots to moveem into buti think they might not be big enuff??

also what is sreening??? is this used to maintain an even cannipy and how do i do it??k i just seen a few vids on scrog so ive an idea wat to do now..but when is the best time or height to start this process with this sativa and how high?i read 24 inches with a sativa??heres a vid on scrog http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eav9WkUKqL0&feature=related

screening as you put it, is a training tech used for keeping your canopy even.. growers use anything from chicken wire to string and make a trellis above the tops of the plants and than weave the branches into the trellis, allowing only the buds to go above the top of the screen... its a great method to control height, but can take a lot of work to keep up with it..
another method to keep height in check is lst, low stress training, in which you tie down the plant as it grows.. lst is an awesome tool for keeping plants in check, and i'm trying it out for the first time on my current grow as i'm growing a few sativa's and didn't want six foot monsters...
check out youtube and you'll be amazed at the amount of videos and info you can learn there...

thanks guys just what i needed to know!what an awesome site can i use lst and later untie them and use scrog or is it one or the other??and do u recommend breakin/topping a plant at any time to encourage lower nodes to grow?

yeah, you can lst and later untie them or whatever you want, they are your plants to do as you please.. and yes, i also like topping and supercropping as a growing style..
check out uncle ben's thread called topping technique to get two or four main cola's.. its a good read and a good way to learn all about topping..

thnx guys great info.uncle bens thread was a good read i was just wondering is there anyway to have my fans quieter??1 oscelating fan which sends vibrations thru to the room below and also another bathroom vent fan blowing air in on the floor!if i put em on pillows or something will that get ridof the vibrations?

if i was to do scrog method how could i empty they tray under the pots water without damagin the scrog???

If your fans are vibrating that badly, it sounds as if they need to be replaced. A normal, small, correctly working fan should NOT make disturbing noises. Cheap replacements are available at any Walmart/Kmart/Target etc. Good luck & good grow.......BB
