I'm just curious as to how I tell how many Gallons my pot is? Every store I go to the pot's have dimensions in inches and never volume.

according to this i have a 4 gallon pot. I was told I will need to transfer to a 5 gallon from the pot I'm in before flowering, or I will go root bound.

Thats what I heard, and why I asked. I found a cubic inches to dry gallons conversion which said just over 4 gallons. Will I be ok through veg and flowering or will i need to transplant before flowering?

Well..how big is the plant. If it is a sizable plant than you will probably want to transplant. If you just planted recently and plan on flowering it small than the same pot would most likely be ok.

Depends on how long you plan to veg before they go 12/12 and the strain you are growing... Some Sativa-dominant strains will outgrow a 5-gallon during flower......
We do all ours in 7-10 gallons... even then some are just one massive ball of roots by harvest!!!!
