Pots

Hey guys, I have sprouted some plants in some clear small cups, and bought some gallon pots to transplant the sprouts into. I had some questions about this.

- First, When should I transplant ?
- Second, I heard some people saying that I shouldn't transplant into big pots immediately? Is this true and if so, how much of a difference does it make.

I think as a rule if the top half looks like it wouldnt fit in the existing pot its time to change to a bigger 1 or look for roots coming out of the drainage holes, and i don't think there is any problem with transplanting to its final pot, the only problem i can see with doing this is losing space under your lamp if you have a few plants

I'd say when they're 2-3 weeks old...depending on their size by then (I started off in large pots - nothing wrong with doing that but I wonder how much water would have missed the roots in the beginning if I hadn't been just spraying the surface...)
