Powder Mildew and All It's Glory?

Ill start by saying im not new at growing pot just tired of growing powder mildew. For the last two years every indoor crop has had it. I've tried it all till just the other day I thought growing hydro meant I could use two gallon pots because that's how my ebb n flow system came with. So I would veg for no more than 4 weeks before flowering and they allways look good up until week five of flower every time. Ive been growing root bound plants and that's why there always sick so now im getting five gallon pots to grow in and with everything else I do there shouldn't be any more problems. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Has anyone made this same mistake. Of veging too long for the bucket size and then in the end of flower your root bound loosing color and getting mildew/ molds. And as soon as you grew with the right size pots all that goes away.

I have grown plants in too small pots, in fact I need to transplant now. I don't see how that has any effect on powdery mildew other than you have to water more frequently but bigger pots will hold more water. I got some clones with some PM but I'm pretty confident I have fixed the problem. I have a low humidity so I don't really have any issues. Sounds like your humidity is too high during flower and you need to kill the PM because it won't just go away and is very dangerous to smoke. I won't even touch buds I think might have mold.

No ,pot size wont make it all go away. Your room has moisture issues.Get a dehumidifier and a sulfur burner to get rid of this major problem. Also dont be afraid to repot during flowering if u think plants are rootbound, just be carefull doing it.

^Agreed. Your humidity is likely too high, there's not enough airflow, and/or your room is loaded with PM spores, and needs to be cleaned thoroughly.

P.S. Another tip, is to make sure you run your fans at 'lights off', because that's when PM is most likely to take hold.

Wow. Everyone missed the point. ITS allot like a human with a sickness. Your weak so getting sick is easy. Well when your plant is root bound its in a stress were it can get mildews/ sickness. Were as if that plant had enough root space then its stroger and less able to getting sick. I have great humity because of the three dehumitifyers that I run. My humidity always stays around 40-45% and my temps are between 65-80 deg.

As for transplanting later. I was running a two gallon ebbn flo hydro system. I was vegging 4 weeks were I should only be at 2 weeks. I am done right now with my flower room so I ordered a fungaflor tr fogger to set off in that room. My vegging plants look great on week 2 of veg right now. Im hooking up five gallon bucketts with baskets and air stones ( deep water culture ) and am going to space them out by using half as many

Nah, i considered the rootbound issue mentioned, and determined that it wasn't the real culprit, or very unlikely.
