Powder nutrients for hydro

anyone know of any decent raw powder nutrients?
I’m wanting to try and use some powder nutrients that I can add to water myself and maybe adjust the NPK myself rather than paying a fortune for water.

Only one I’ve found so far is the RAW complete grow powder but the price of it is actually nearly doubt the price of any normal hydro base.

Try General Hydroponics MaxiGro and MaxiBloom. Works awesome without needing to mix anything. Keep it simple. You don't need to mix your nutrient ingredients at different levels. They got the mix just right :)

Megacrop, jacks hydroponic w/ calcium nitrate & Epsom Salt ,chem Gro:

More in depth [control every element of the nutrient formula] :

I’m going to start with either chem gro or jacks plus. Probably jacks plus Epsom, calcium nitrate, diy terpinator, Moab, Hammerhead, Silica (veg only), Heisenberg tea, (still working on a Rooting enhancer). It probably be easier to convert to full diy from chem-gro though.

@JSB99 been adding some BioAg TM7 (kelp, fulvic, humic, micros) to my Maxi. able to run a lower EC and the results are better IMO. a small bag is pretty cheap on ebay.

I run Jack's and CaNO3, MgSO4, CaSO4, K2SO4

Super cheap.

MgSO4 (Epsom salt) super cheap at Walmart
Jack's and CaNO3 25lb bags
CaSO4 and K2SO4 don't use much of only in mid to late flower to boost sulfates for terps and extra K is good. CaSO4 to keep up Ca levels when you want to taper N so grab 1lb bags.

RAW needs to be at least half of the rec. amount ... i burned some plants with it once
4g-6g of bloom / grow I see recommended you say I can get away with 2-3G?

I am only not wanting to use raw due to price of large amounts here.

If I only need 3G that would be ideal.

Jacks isn’t for sale here

I worked out based on raws prices where I am it would cost me 800 usd dollar per 100 plant harvest with 200 oz of bud.

Using all of the below at their recommended doses
raw gro
Raw bloom
omina
B vitamin
Calmag
Phosphorous topup early flower
Potassium top up late flower

Seems like a reasonable price actually since I’ll have full control of the plants the way I want and all the extra humid acids in the grow formula kelp and silica all included.

Things like Dutch pro here would cost me a similar amount with out the extras.

All canna specific nutrients are over hyped and over priced imo just looking for the cheapest options that I can build up myself.

Found only one supplier of that maxibloom so far and it is 15 usd cheaper than raw grow and bloom per KG but doesn’t include kelp, silica, and Humic acids.

Love to hear more from people who have tried raw it says the Ppm per teaspoon on their website but doesn’t say how many grams are in a tea spoon so it’s hard for me to work out ppms based on grams

all not needed with the Maxi series.
Plants like to have extra phosphourous during early flower and higher potassium later in flower.

Nitrogen in maxi bloom does seem quite high a lot more than is really needed. It would work but I’d like to experiment more on a smaller scale by being able to adapt and change each nutrient

Gonna keep searching for other products I’d anyone else can recommend any or if you have experience with the raw line I’d be interested to know

only if your nutes are lacking P and K.

i haven't found that to be true.
If you use the same nute line no matter what is in it you can’t have lower phosphorous in early flower and higher potassium in late flower. There are soubtle changes a plant needs during early and late bloom it isn’t required but may be required for even better quality which is why I want to experiment with it

good luck. watch out when you add extra K you don';t lock out Mg.
If you have a fairly balanced base nute it wouldn’t necessarily be “extra” it just gives you more control to have for example

First 3 weeks of bloom 3 5 4
Last 3 weeks of bloom 2 4 6

That’s just an example I’d like to experiment with more options.

But if your bloom formula is 5-15-14 as it is with maxibloom your stuck with 5-15-14 all the way through flower

This comes up pretty early in the Fatman’s thread:
https://www.thcfarmer.com/community/threads/fatmans-diy-nutrient-mixing-guide.20899/

They also mention companies you can send in your water and get lab results on the contents. Some companies even mix ingredients to your requested ratio & to your water supply results then I’m sure you can remake their formula. Cropking used to do it not sure if they do anymore.

I use hydroponics so I settled on Jacks hydro formula, calcium nitrate, magnesium sulfate (Epsom), potassium sulfate, monoammonium Phosphate, Monopotassium Phosphate, Dark Brown Sugar, Heisenberg tea, Fulvic (kelp4less), Silica.

Still working on a homemade Rooting enhancer to match RapidStart or rhizotonic. I have a thread going for it already.
Hope this helps good luck with your search.
