Powdery Mildew close to Harvest

Hey all...

I seem to have a problem with 2 auto ak47 plants I am growing.

I noticed I have a build up of little white specs that seem like powder as they disapear when I touch/rub them off.

One plant which is about a week away from Harvest has it on most of the buds in the lower half of the plant, and a plant which I could harvest at any time (just waiting for the trics to turn more amber) has started getting a few specs on some buds lower down.

I've read what I can find about powdery mildew, but not your options this close to harvest.

I really don't want to lose these plants, this is my second grow after an unsuccessful first grow, and i'll probably cry if these die so late in the day!!

Just been reading up some more, has anybody had success with a milk/water solution?

mildew is usually the end of your ladies, i had to go through a couple of good batches that turned bad and throw them out, very emo.
use a sulfer bomb if its not spread too much, get some ventelation and air circulation going especially at night, if you have alot of plants the air thats moving can blow the powder and spread it around, but yeah usually by the time you see the powder your plants have already been tainted for days before, dont smoke it, it will get you sick. make bubble hash, or start a new batch as soon as possible, make sure you use preventative care, its really the only way

Damn, that doesn't sound good! I'll get a pic up tomorrow and hoprefully somebody will tell me that it's perfectly normal and it isn't mildew.... Well I can only hope!

and if it's started low, just prune it off, then hit it with the sulfer, they also make leaf washes to help get the residue off, but I don't know if I'd smoke it.

I think i may have mildew as well... does it gives the buds a harsh, almost spicy smell? Rather than skunky, the buds smell harsh. Is this mildew?

yeah it will taste horrible, and burn your throat. its tainted better off cutting them early or making bubble hash
