Powdery mildew or calcium build up?

hey guys i am curious about this white build up on my leaves. now i have had powdery mildew before and i know exactly what it looks like. but what i have does not look like the classic powdery mildew look. it looks some what frosty to me. now i have a pretty heavy duty humidifier that is a cool mist in the tent i mean u can literally see the mist its like a fogger. and the humidifier is covered with calcium deposits from the water. so i am wondering if it is possible that there are calcium deposits on my leaves?? ill try and take a pic but i have a shitty camera.

Get a bottle of 'clean' water and some kitchen towels wash and wipe all down ....including the leaves, and gear, later get some intel on the Ph...use some pool strips, or get a lab test, on the (C) levels in your water, consider buying in a used(cost?) RO machine

hmm ok i never thought of an ro machine good idea, i use a pur filter to clean the water but i do half and half in other words half is purified half is tap. maybe ill just by distilled from the store

It's possible. I run an ultrasonic humidifier at times and it does tend to leave a hard water film on surfaces near it if I use tap water. If it wipes off easily with a little vinegar (or anything acidic) compared to stubbornly not coming off if wiped with just plain water... it's probably calcium buildup. If it wipes off either way, might look more towards it being PM. Not saying to use vinegar on your leaves by the way, but you could try cleaning a nearby surface just to see.

ya i used vinegar to to clean all the gear because water wouldnt do it. and its pretty stuck on the leaves as well. i have cured pm with organic spray but it destroys leaves. i read somewhere u can use a water/vinegar mix to cure pm as well maybe that would help remove the calcium build up to haha
