POWER OUTTAGE!!

A tree just fell in power lines nearby and i think the transformer blew. This could take hours to fix. My girls are on there last week of flower. Supposed to get over 90° today with high humidity. Now all i can think is MOLD and HERMIES!

Dont even want to think what could happen in the veg area to.

And no way in hell i can give them sunlight. Not without basically putting up a big flashing neon saying HEY EVERYBODY LOOK WHAT IVE GOT.

Well if your on last week of flower you can cross off hermie.even if the grow a bannana they aint guna polinate in week

Most certainly. Those who's grows cannot survive an outage, have a form of backup power. Other people just wait it out.

If there is nothing you can do about it, there is nothing you can do about it. You need to decide how important those plants are, how likely they are to get to harvest based on the expected length of the outage, and whether it is worth saving them or not. You then take the apprpriate course of action.

With regard to a few hours fucking up a crop. well that is different for everyone. It could be fine, it could be disasterous.

Yeah i guess it will be a waiting game to asses damage. I was just curious if the resultes were certain to be bad. Sucks ass because i have two in flower that just showed pistils a few days ago. At that point i feel they are a lil more sensitive to enviroment change. Just have to keep my fingers crossed i suppose.
Plus guys im high and bored with no electricity...

So now my timers are off by 3 hours. Do I just let it run its course now or put them back on regular schedule?

When it happened to mine, I set it back to proper time when the power was back up. Mostly cuz I chose my 12hr "on" time for scheduling reasons, and needed to keep it.

Also have heard of shifting it back gradually, but again, w/ being this late in the grow, might as well just shift it back n let 'em ride, long as u can get the environment back in check, you should be just fine....

Yeah just fix the timers, let the lights go off at the regular time. A power outage for a few hours isn't a big deal, especially if you're just running lights, ventilation, fans, etc. for a soil grow. 90 degrees isn't a huge deal and DampRid can be used if it were really warranted (then again you should perhaps already have some in there if it were). If you had a big hydro grow that depended on pumps and other things constantly you could have been screwed.

Now, in some other areas where residents come to expect outages, esp. during certain times of year like in the winter, and in many instances such as during storms once it goes out you have no idea when it will be back on... in which cases generators are awesome.

Former lineman for power company........depending on how many were affected by this outage reflects how long it'll take to get your power back on......also if it was a bad storm and many others were affected it could take a while.......don't worry be happy !
