OK, so this isn't anything that I'm overly concerned about, but I wanted to throw this out here for any more experienced growers that want to throw in their opinions and diagnosis on it. I'm thinking it is one of two things. 1. I've over watered it or 2. I'm about to burn it with Cal/Mag.
I have a Pure Power Plant seedling that is looking sick. This plant is being grown in Botanicare Ready Grow Moisture, which is Coconut coir, Perlite, Leonardite ore, Earthworm castings, Montmorillonite, and Yucca extract. I've been watering with tap water PH adjusted to 5.8 every couple of days. No nutes besides 1 ml/g of General Hydroponics CaliMagic, and I add 1 ml/g of Botanicare Hydroguard.
Here's the other plant that has been on the same schedule using the same water solution. The reason I added the CaliMagic is from advice I got in Ed Rosenthal's Marijuana Grower's Handbook. He recommends for low testing tap water, you use a Cal/Mag supplement to bring your PPM up to between 125-150. It made sense to me since I seem to always wind up with a Cal/Mag deficiency. My PPM has been from 130-144, brought up from 57 to 65. Its hard for me to think that it is being over done. I have other plants at about the same age using the same solution. PP-2 is the only one showing these symptoms,
What I've done is to take the seedling and put it back in the humidity tray, and switching it to plain water, PH adjusted to 5.8 to see if that helps. Do you think I'm on the right track to get this seedling healthy and growing again?
Thanks!
