Milk is safe on pistils in flower from my experience but i havent found an effective recipe against bugs yet. Ladybugs are what keeps my pest population down.

Finally you asked what i am doing, instead of telling me what not to do...well done.
My last test mix was a 1:8 milk/water on buds 17d into flower

You haven't used Organic Pyrethrin ? I'm so happy too hear you using ladybugs. If you have aphids they'll tear them up, especially the larvae. 3rd generation with aphids grow wings and fly away too infect someone elses plants. Ants milk them like cows !
