Preflower lack of pistils

Hey guys!!
My girls are 8 weeks from seed. Sativa/coco/led. I'm finally seeing some pistils come out! But just a few per plant. The caylxs are so tiny yet. Is this normal? These plants are freaking huge already. I'm anxious to flip them, just not sure with the lack of preflowers/ pistils. Any thoughts?

First two pics you could see hairs. Next 2 are just random branches with nothing.

Some strains show sex as early as week three. Some strains don't show sex whatsoever until they're forced into a flowering light cycle.

Perfectly normal. You can go ahead and flip. If any are male, you'll know rather quickly.

If you've got any plants that have seemed to grow far more unwieldly and taller than the others, it's a possible male. Males often tend to grow significantly faster than females in veg, but again, not always.

Phewwwww I was worried. Lol. Thank you. So would you flip them now, or wait a little longer? I'm use to growing from clones. Seeds start is all new to me. Never seen them so small.

You're fine. One thing however, I see some type of material in the second picture that you must be using to tie the plant back. It looks really fuzzy with loose fibers. You might want to change that before flower to another type of material that won't potential shed fibers that can get on your buds.

It's probably not a big deal but you don't want crud in your bud.

Happy growing.

That's totally up to you, and the amount of head room you've got between your lamps and the top of the plants. Most strains will double-to-triple in height after switch to 12/12, so take that calculation into mind.

Eight weeks is a very decent amount of veg time. I now do eight week veg in my perpetual, and I've been very happy with the results. It drives the humidity up in the flower tent though, the longer you veg. That's another thing to keep in mind.

Is there any benefit for waiting to more show? I still have some room especially since I switched to LED.

Also Do not use bloom Nutes at this point , continue normal veg feed for next couple weeks AFTER flip so available nitrogen is at level for plant to use for final setup branching and stretch. Once stretch has slowed or stopped , it will concentrate on blooming then you can begin bloom feeding.

Flipped em! Thank you. Thanks for the reminder on nutrients also.

Yes you're right, it is a hemp string scrogg net. I really should change it out because it does loose some fibers. But this was all I had. LOL
