Hi, I am brand new to this, I have never even grown a tomato before so please excuse my ignorance in advance. O.k. so I am growing in 5 gallon plastic buckets using roots organic greenfields green light soil. In the beginning I was told by my local grow shop to use regular greenfields soil and initially burned my girls. I then read on this forum how to fix them and they thrived. I am hoping to repeat that. So besides the soil I fed them nothing but perfectly ph'd water (15 ppm) every time ranging between 6.7 and 6.9 to make sure they had a variation to uptake a better range of nutes. I check runoff ph at every watering. Two weeks into flowering I started using a 1/4 teaspoon per gallon of Connisuer nutrients by advanced nutrients hovering around 550 ppm. They were all doing great until the start of the fifth week in flower when all of the sudden some started yellowing and the leaves died off. Not just on the bottom few leaves but all the way up. It hasn't affeced the leaves closest to the buds but it is getting there. I then added cal mag to the feedings. And then in the past few days some of the leaves have looked burnt. I nute them for 2 weeks and then give a full flush. I have just flushed them and they got worse so I doubt lockout is the answer. It could be under nuting but I am two weeks from harvest and was about to begin flushing them. So my question is does anyone have any clues as to why they are yellowing so early? And should I give nutrients for my next feeding or just flush and chop before they get worse. I am not sure if the crystals are milky or clear but the hairs are 50% red. Oh before I forget my room temps range between 75 and 85. I am running 8x 1000 watt hps mh in the beginning. For the first three weeks of flowering I had the ballast ranging between 600 and 750 depending on the time of day. I have a dehumidifier constantly running and two 8500 btu air conditioners cooling and dehumidifyiers running all the time too but have trouble getting the humidity to 45. It normally hovers at 55-60. So my other question is am I doing things right? Just.looking for advice and feedback. Sorry if its too much info but I always here people say they need more info. Thanks for any help in advance. Here is a video on you tube of the girls. The light makes the yellowing a little tough to see. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GFuwIPOOPw&noredirect=1
