Pro way to mix powdered nutes

Tired of using that mason jar as a shake weight ? Get a stir starter stir plate with stir bar. Spin it up and put nutes/adds in and walk away.

What nutes are you using?
If it uses Calcium nitrate, you need to sometimes mix this with warm water first before anything else otherwise no matter how much stirring you do, it ain't gonna mix...
I use a cheap $40 stir plate I got off of Amazon, it works with 600ml beakers and 1 pint mason jars.

I've been mixing powdered nutes for years. I just use an old water bottle to shake things up. Never had a problem getting them to dissolve. Nothing wrong with using that contraption. I'm sure it works. I just don't see the need to add unnecessary equipment into the mix.

I like to use the stir plate so I can mix up "concentrated" batches while I am doing other things. It just makes life easier. I can put the calcium nitrate in there, walk away for a moment take care of something and when I come back its mixed, then I can add the other parts and those mix pretty fast.
The shake bottle works great, I've used it myself.
