Probably get tired of this question: Newb grower here.

:wall: A lot of you must get tired of this question, I'm a complete newb to this and it is my very first plant. I am trying to an auto blue mystic plant that I had germinated 6 days ago, I then had planted it the day after. My seed is progressing I have checked the tap root on it but it is almost a week now and the tap root is very slowly growing. I have been keeping the pot in a warm area where the temperature is about 23 degrees Celsius. The seed isn't to deep either and the soil is only just damp enough to allow the seed to at least breathe, the tap root is about an inch and a half long. I I was just wondering if any one knows about this strain and if it takes a little longer to break soil or if anyone knows of anything I am doing wrong and give some advice to speed up the growing process.

When you dig it up to take a peek it actually stunts the seed and makes it take longer..they know when they are moved and have to redirect their root growth, which takes away from other growth...so just chill and let it do it's thing...if you are sure it isn't too wet, too cold, too hot, or too deep, all you can do is leave it be and hope for the best...

Damn, do I regret doing that. I'm not going to disturb it anymore, the poor thing. I guess its going to be under soil for a couple more days because of what I was doing.

Sorry but thats just stupid to do.Dont ever disturb the seed under the soil. You probably killed it already with this. For me its normal for seed to break soil in 2-3 days.

Chill man it's my seeds I have others, this was a trial. I'll wait and see what happens, if it's dead well it's dead nothing I can do. Like I said.....new grower<-----

The tap root is just that, tap root. It is the trunk of your root system, it anchors the seed. This is so in nature, the seed stays put and doesn't get washed away. From this tap root many almost microscopic "hairs" grow these are the beginings of your root system. When we distub our germinated seeds or handle them we are distroying them. This stunts and sets the plant back. Try just germing your seeds in a egg crate. Line it with a damp papertowel.cover it as well. Shut the lid place it in a warm dark spot and wait for the pod to crack, when the tap root is 3 times the size of the seed pod. prepare your (cup). Chose a small plastic kegger cup. Fill it 2/3 full of enert soil look for a mix with as close to 0-0-0 npk as possible. Avoiding those that have nutrients added. This will NOT help your seedling. make a hole 3/4 to 1/2 inch deep. Carefully place your sprout head down, if possible seed husk attached. This will cause the germ to take a extra day to emerge, this is ok!!!! What you are making this baby do is work for it! It wants to come up! To emerge it must turn 180deg, in doing so it will shed that husk on its own, and will be more vivatouse in it's begining. Cover your now planted sprout, water, sparingly, a few drops everyday around the stem will be plenty sufficiant. Now place under light, and be patient, the plant will do the rest. This is very simple, as well as practiced by many. If your seedling starts to stretch, adjust your lights approximity. Marijuana will stretch away from, as well as toward a light. Hot lights cause the plant to want to excape the light. Cool lights that aren't close enough to provide the proper lumens, will cause the plant to travel toward the light source. We only fill the seedlings cup 2/3 full, so as this happens, and your getting your lights dialed in, you are able to fill in around its stem. Kinda like pulling up your britches. good luck with your grow and peace

Un-educated mistakes happen in every aspect of life. WE correct and move on. I think you will do fine. May I suggest a good book. If so, TRy greg greens, "The cannibis Grow bible" very easy to understand and covers everything from germ, to hybrid gene manipulation within its 500 plus pages. I have invested thousands of dollars into growing marijuana over 35 years. best $25.00 spent Ever... was this book.
