Hey guys, this is my project journal.
here is a little background on my setup.
flowering room:
i am using an ebb and flow system. i have a 19"x19" tray that is 6 inches deep. it is made out of aluminum and lined with plastic sheeting. my grow medium is hydroton, and i'm using square plastic pots. once the plants get big enough, i will transplant them to pots that are a little bit bigger.
my reservoir is just a regular old cooler. it holds about 12 gallons. i am using 8 gallons right now for my small plants then will switch to 10 for flowering, maybe even 12 if they are really thirsty.
i'm using a 185 gal/hr water pump with a digital timer set to come on 15 minutes every 6 hours. this is for the veg cycle with the lights on 24/7
my nutrients are a basic 3 parts grow, micro and bloom.
right now i am mixing in 1/4 teaspoon per gallon of water for small seedlings. my PH is at 6.0 and PPM around 700.
right now i am using 4 30w CFL's.
i have on order a 400/600w switchable ballast and 6" cooltube which will hopefully be up and running by next week.
for ventilation i have a squirrel cage fan and several small desk fans and computer fans.
it is 4 feet tall x 3 feet wide x 2 feet deep
veg room:
1.5 feet tall x 3 feet wide x 2 feet deep
ventilation is a 6 inch duct fan and a computer fan.
i currently have 3 clones in a small one gallon DWC container with 3 net pots with hydroton. inside are 2 6 inch airstones with a airpump rated for 30 gallon aquariums. the nutrient solution is exactly the same as the flowering room. these will probably be mothers.
there are 4 more clones in soil. the one in the larger container is a special strain given to me by a friend. she hasn't told me the name of the strain yet but i'm planning on asking her next time i see her.
the other clones are from a plant i have outdoors. just bagseed.
right now i have several growlux 15w tubes and one coolwhite 30w tube. plus 2 30w spiral cfl's. i may change that soon though.
thats it for now, i will add more as i think of it.
