Project Mayhem - Tyler Durden's Perpetual Grow

Hey Bro ur electrician run 8000 watts set up .. i am planning to run subpanel question i have did u went that route .. and if yes what is size of a breaker on main panel u guys used ?

I know almost nothing about electrical work. All I can tell you is that he did put in an additional breaker box, maybe that is a subpanel? Idk. He just stated that he did it in such a way that needed no permit, and would not draw any attention. Those were my only two concerns. So far, so good...

No. My thought is that the rockwool would stay too wet being sprayed every few minutes, potentially causing problems. I've only put bare roots (or no roots in the case of cuttings) into aero.
U c i start seeds in rooter plug and stick them in Aero unit and they ware fine so I figured rckwool should be good for that lol ... I was thinking putting them 15 min on and 30 off for pump set up ... but I hear ya about potential problems ...
Never the less I have 30 new clones in rockwool and will attempt go straight to Aero veg unit .. I guess we will c lol ..
They show signs of little stress .. leaves curling down and leaves discoloration...

But I'll give them at least a week in Aero to try to kick back .. if they won't ill put them on different medium

If it's additional breaker box it is 100% subpanel and that is what I am planning to do instead of having bunch of extensions cords right now lol ...
I just have to figured out how big of a breaker i put in my main box so that subpanel will feed off of it ...
Everything I checked out on a subject everyone is saying if u shooting for x wattage instal at least double of what u looking for because in case u wanna expend u have room for it ...
That actually came from a guy who set up his woodshop in a garage of his house ... he need it like 4000w with all machines running so he went to 9000Watts subpanel ... when I asked in lowes and Home depot people from electric department they said to asked electrician lol ...

Not to shit up Tyler's thread, but most houses nowadays are wired with a 200 amp panel. Depending how used up your main panel is ( is it full of breakers, are there any spots in your main panel to add more breakers?) Right off the top of my head, I'd go with at least 2- 20amp breakers dedicated to your grow but I don't know what you plan on running for equipment etc. Start a thread, you'll get some answers after more detail of what you want to do.

@tyler.durden. how are the cuts doing? You going with led for flower this winter or just above the mom's?

Hey, bro. The new moms are doing well. I think they may need some cal-mag, @ttystikk said that may be the case under LEDs. I just took the second batch of cuttings from them. I'm going to start flowering with my new KS5000s I listed previously in this thread, I already took out my HPS hoods and ducting.

I chose 12 clones from the first cloner run and transferred them to the veg system a couple days ago. They'll be ready to flower in 3 weeks. I'm excited to see what these new strains, and new lights, produce.

Covering your veg table with white plastic will help it stay cleaner, will prevent algae growth, will encourage you development and help water stay cooler.
