I'm about 2 weeks into the flowering period and there are a few colas that at not going to get any light, And are now completely overshadowed by the rest of the plant. Can I cut these or will this cause too much stress to the plant ? As I've read that in the flowering stage you cannot prune your plants ? I can provide further information if you need it ?

it may shock them it may not i say just let it be or add some CFLs the the sides

I was told from the guy from an at a trade show in long beach ca trim under brush first week of 12 and 12 to avoid stress ,,,first few days in the bloom stage

Great suggestion to supplement with cfl's. You could also take clones, though as mentioned that would cause stress. 25 resources and I am confident you could have some lower light support for your girls.
Cheers lads, I will concider cfls only problem is I'm running out of space in the tent(and also money is a factor). If I was to leave it the way it is would I notice a substantial difference in top colas ? Eg size and quality? I think I'm gona scrog next to eliminate this problem. Or do u have any other suggestions to maximise efficiency ?
Thanks just looked into the defoliation method. This encourages getting rid off all fan leafs after 3 weeks in veg. This is contradictory to the info most people give. I know there's no difinative answer which is a pain lol I think I might defol one of the plants and leave the other untouched. That will at least give me and my set up a comparison
