i need to prune my plants to get light to the lower "tops" dont know what there actually called but its the part that keeps growing like the top but there are huge fan leafs in the way can i cut these off to get light to the lower growing parts ?? if i do will it hurt it ? there are alot of them and there blocking pretty mutch all the light i vegged with 500 watts of cfls and now i only got light from the top with my 400 watt hps sooooo what parts can i cut off safely to get more light down there :)

yes the colas there called and yes u can trim the large fan leaves ONLY and not to many eaither only the ones that are blocking the light from hitting the bud sites thats it i do not recommand over pruning. The plant still needs 65-75 % of these leaves and never ever cut the cola. Let me know what stage u are in now flowering or not get back to me.

i have had them under a 400w hps for about 3 days now vegged with fish emulsion and have moorbloom for flower heres some pics of them under the hps and some pics of them under the clfs for vegging and are those pistils ?? i dunno there kinda on the sides 1st grow
