Public Call To Prayer

So I'm sitting at the dog park when some guy pulls up in a beemer, removes a carpet from his trunk and proceeds to do his 1pm 'call to prayer' right in the parking lot..that was the first time I ever saw that in person.

Thoughts or comments?

Obviously you are looking for something in particular, so why not tell us what your thoughts and/or comments on this complete non-issue are?

To me that's about the same thing as my co-worker trying to get myself and our clients to bow our heads and pray while blessing the food at a business dinner -- except not inappropriate and awkward since he isn't affecting anyone but himself by praying in public.

It's America, so...

But it's a bit wierd to actually see it. I've traveled thru international airports and saw them doing the prayer thing in droves.

It's not a complaint. I'm just not used to seeing IRL.

My dog park is my Walmart or MCD Home Depot..can you imagine someone just whipping it out in an aisle? Or maybe it has to be done outside? The reason call to prayer is done so often each day is to keep allah in mind at all times and the Muslim way. IDK maybe soon we'll have designated worship areas in the stores?

Would public worship areas like this be acceptable?

This is a real question to discuss..

What do they do in the UK with high Muslim populace?

IDK. France seems to have the right answer, IMHO.

I'd really like for America to keep looking like America.

Does she also just use Walmart as her personal pantry and refrigerator ? Watches TV in her personal Walmart living room... AKA TV display area. She talking about how she got 5 60' screens
