What's up, RIU? It's been a while since I've posted a grow thread. Been doing this a long time now and I've got my regiments and recipes pretty dialed in to what works for me. Consistently producing fire so I can't complain much.
I don't know if the journal will continue past this grow or not, that's going to depend on a few things, mainly time, but I'll definitely be following through until the end of my current flower cycle in the 2’x7’ flower area. Which is starting today and consists of 4 strains, 3 of which I've never flowered before.
Strain 1: Slurricane ix by InHouse Genetics
Strain 2: GCP (Gorilla Cookie Purp) (Gg4 x Forum Cookies x Mendo Purps) by Sunken Treasure Seeds
Strain 3: Mac Stomper by Sunken Treasure Seeds
Strain 4: Mac (I've grown the fuck outta this one - an all time keeper in the stable) - clone only
Now these should all be some fire unless I royally fuck things up somehow. Which is always a possibility. This round already isn't ideal because the plants are different ages and sizes. Tall (Slurricane), medium (GCP), and small (Mac Stomper) that I'm honestly just throwing in for the fuck of it because I needed the space in the veg area. Some of these are moms, and some are their cuts. I am expecting this to be a jammed-packed 2x7 in a few weeks. There's not a lot of room as-is so I'll do my best to keep them cleaned up.
The Mac, which I’ve grown consistently, will go 65-70 days. Honestly no clue on the others. I'm thinking the Slurricane will probably take the longest, maybe 10-12 weeks? Not expecting a super long flower time for the GCP based on the genetics, but you never know…we'll see.
Other details of the grow…
Medium: Coco / Perlite
Nutrients: Canna Line + Silica + Calcium + microbes
Lights: 2 NextLight Plus Pros (2 x 330w) with the Pro Series Control
Intensity Rise/Fall: 60 minutes
The space is a 2’x7’ closet lined with panda film. AC Infinity inline, carbon filter, fans for some breeze, etc. Nothing too fancy. Watering/Feeding is done manually.
Here's some pictures of about a week ago, which was day 1 of 12/12.

It's kind of tough to get a good picture / angle of the whole space. I'll try better next time.
And here are some initial thoughts on these strains so far.
I'm the most excited / intrigued by the GCP. It's got great lineage and this specific pheno has been a breeze to grow so far. Stays stout and bushes out really nicely with multiple toppings. Cloning it has been a breeze and handles everything I’ve thrown at it so far. No complaints.
The Mac Stomper is a weird one. I think it’s just this specific seed though. My buddy popped a few Reg seeds, got a couple males, and this female. Not an easy clone he said, and seems rather finicky / sensitive and prone to stretch. He's almost done flowering his and despite how it looks, it produces some funk. So giving it a whirl. If it's disappointing we'll chuck it and pop a few more beans. Honestly either way we'll pop a few more of them because I can't imagine this being the best of our batch. Fingers crossed...
The Slurricane ix has been easy so far. These ones were from feminized seeds. Started 2, keeping one around until another comes along that's more impressive. The one that didn't make the cut was super leggy. Flowering out the mom and tossed the clones. It's dead after this. The keeper-for-now has nice structure and all the clones have been super healthy / not stretchy like the other. Seems promising so far.
Mac, it's a keeper, but time to put it on the back burner for a while. It'll show up from time-to-time though no doubt.
That's all I have for now. Hope everyone enjoys the grow. Peace.
