pump wont start!

hey so i just put 3 seeds that had germinated into my aerogarden classic. the taproot had shown, I put it in the foam, and have had lights running for 20 hours a day. It is on the salad greens setting. The pump however, does not ever shut off and I am worried that my seeds are getting drowned! PLEASE HELP. can I change the setting or is this normal? These were very expensive seeds. Thanks

you need an air stone any way, so the pump is useless, some use it until they reach the water, but you dont need it, if you dont already, get a air stone in there ASAP

Salad Greens(or Strawberries, for that matter) = 24hr pump, as far as I can tell
The pump won't drown your seeds, as long as theyre not at the very bottom of the foam plug. All it does is keep em moist, and creates a "drip-down" pathway of water, just like a Stalactite(lagmite?) forms

once your roots hit that down-drop of water, it directs them to the reservoir, and that's all you need. you can turn the pump off afterwards


And yes, buy an Airstone ASAP! They're only a couple bucks, plus a small pump and some tubing - mad cheap
