purple tops in young plants.

Hi guys hope everything is going great for everyone. It's been awhile since ive posted but i took last year off. Well im back at it this year and got some questions about the tops of my young plants turning purple, ive never had anything good come from purple tops in my plants but usually happens later in the plants life cycle. Anyway we got a three cold nights in a row and i was unavailable to get them out the cold. They are young plants bout 4-6 inches tall. Three different genetics all got plants with purple tops. I used dirt that had laid all winter long and gotten damp still in the bag mind you but had been left to the weather. My question i guess is could this purple be from the cold spell?

I have seen this in plants given to me by an old school smoker and im pretty sure it was from the cold but to be hones they were in some shitty soil that was pretty much all bark mulch so it could have been that and they were also rootbound and overwatered lmao so i guess my point is whatever it is its probably not food because as soon as i transplanted and took proper care of then they went from purple to dark healthy green so im pretty sure its more relayed to soil conditions or the healrh of the plant in general and not so much temperature but this is purely from my own observations

im hoping they pull out of it. im not starting over i havent got the time i leave in three weeks so was hoping to have em all in the ground.

They should be good bro just make sure your ph temps and all that jazz are good you know the basics and they should be fine

Only time I've ever got any plants to turn purple was from the cold and they were already in flower. Soil and nutes were good so I doubt it was that. We normally have highs in the lower 80s for the year and lows in the mid 40s. So climate is pretty good overall but I threw some plants outside in march since I needed room and they turned purple. Had to be from the cold. Should turn back to green if that nights are not too cold still.

IMO- it's from the cold... as long as they are being fed proper- they are fine... looking good!

what i thought but wanted someone to agree with me...lol.. they looked normal until the cold hit why i was leaning towards cold. Appreciate the quick responses guys.

Iv got a Neville's haze halfway through flower , and it's mid winter here in oz , and some of its auger leaves are turning pink and purple , looks awsome , don't think the cold nights are helping it a whole lot , usually about 10 degrees celcius

That'll be the most likely. In my 1st grow i had seedlings turned purple cuz i plant them out too soon & i was like " WOW... what a bad-ass genetics bagseeds i have"

Its because of the temps. I have some outside plants and in the middle where all the new growth grows from is purple. It cant be soil because my ladies are in Some Super Soil and growing fine and lovely. My temps at night in my area are 55-65 degrees so kind of cool. But it does not effect the Growth of my Girls because the days get warmer.

Lmao i said the sane thing to myself haha yeah i was high and i got those about a week and a half ago so the first time i put my "hypothesis" down was right then lol but yeah i still think in my case it was 100% soil related but this guy thinks his are a result of cold and im sure he knows his plants better than i do so..

It's from cold....I may be some what new to this but my Mexican brick plants have purple on them from the 35 degree night on Monday but as the weather warms up it turns green and looks completely normal
