Purple Urkel .... root bound? pH?

I took a sick leaf to my aemi-local hydroponic/farm supply and the guy immediately said, cal\mag defiency, so I bought some along with Max Sea 16-16-16 and I've dosed her twice along with my 9 other various strains which BTW are as green as can be...so I bought a pH meter, my soil is 7.1 and my well water is 7.3. Urkel, I've decided, may be root bound. I'm going to transplant it in the morning from a 5 gal to a 15 gal. I'll bet it is root bound and unable to suck up nutrients. If it has become seriously root bound do you suggest I gently loosen up the roots before putting her into the bigger pot?
I'm ashamed to upload this pix but, whaddaya think?

I think no matter what the issue is with the plant, you are taking the right step to transplant into some fresh soil and a bigger container. Never grown Urkel, but she could just be a tricky bitch. I shake the root ball slightly to loosen them up during transplants, but I cant say for sure if it does anything or not.

im sure your doing the right thing, ive not had it myself but im sure that ive read that you can transplant when root bound,check the roots as you go, free them up, but it will stall for a while, especially if you need to trim the roots as it will focus all energy on the repair of the roots, could you foiler feed cal mag or such to bypass the root system? i know bio bizz alga-mic does help with calcium and as a tonic to help with the stress, and is not classed as a feed as such,

Thanks for your insights....as a heads up, even when under vegged by a newbie, me, Urkel is a big'un..... If/when I grow her again I might put it in the ground.

P. Urkel was definitely root bound. She's in her new pot three times the size of her old pot, let's see if this cures her.
I need to get bigger pots for Black Diesel, AK47 and Bubba Kush..... If it weren't so freakin hot, already, I would have dug holes for all of them. I need a strong man to help......I'm only a girl.... :-\
