ok so i got a groclone55, popped a hole in bottom corner to put a valve with hose to 5gl bucket. had approx 16 clones i cut, 1 rooted, 1/2" root, it was a smaller clone of the ones i cut, about 4" tall above dirt. I transplanted it, soaked dirt, and then let dirt dry completely before resuming watering, it's taking off great. i don't move it immedietly under the 1000W hps. i keep it under the sunblaze 4' cool bulb for a couple weeks. i've found moving them under the hps makes them turn yellow, wilt and fall over and hard recovery. however the rest of the clones developed a booger of slime on the cuts. could have been i wasn't clear on cutting the clones. i am clear now. or it coulda been they were too big, some 8" tall, maybe too big for the groclone. i aslo had changed the air system from 3 airstones and the growclone airpump to some airsstone type rods, 2 of them plus 4 airstones, maybe too much air. i was also using olivias cloning solution where i read the faq on groclone and it recommends using nothing. cleaned the piss outta the growclone and all the neoprenes. rinsed throuroughly and took 3 new cuttings from a plant not flowering yet. i cleaned scissors with alcohol, cut at 45, peeled the bottom two leaves down to the cut and placed in groclone. keeping fingers crossed. gonna change the water daily to prevent any buildup of anything and not gonna feed it the olivias and see what happens. the first time also when i was putting under hps right away i was told to let the roots become 12" long. i've read here countless places that that is way too long. keep fingers crossed and any suggestions. my 10 are flowering and i got 2 younger ones with few clones to offer so i can't make too many mistakes. i might cash in on the cloner. and go with gel and dirt. don't know if the pvc glue is interacting and before i had a galvanized locknut in there that corroded and im sure released all the zinc. and could have caused the slime. now i just got glued dried plastic that's been disinfected with bleach and rinsed like 20 times. cuts are 1/4 inch below the first node where i peeled down. any suggestions
