I have a green led rope light in my flower rooms. I only turn it one once or twice if at all for 15 minutes or less and I've never had a problem doing so. I only need to go in my room while the lights are off if i need to spray something in the case of a problem, which isn't too often
Yes, plants do not use the green spectrums hence why plants are green, reflecting the green light that they do not absorb. Make sure it is a green spectrum, like led and not just a green colored incandescent bulb.
