Put together HPS Ballast ..?

Ok, so their is a shop near where I am that sells HID ballasts really cheap... well atlest when I compare it to ones I find on the internet... I saw a 400 Watt HPS ballast for $54.00. Though you had to assemble it. I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me if it was worth it and weither putting it together is complicated or not. This is my opinion, you sound a little unsure about it so you probably should not do it. Do you want your house burning down because you wanted to save money not knowing 100% what your doing? If your not sure then don't go this route.

theres a only a few wires to join,
the ballast and ignitor should have the wiring diagrams on them if you dont get one with it all,
its pretty simple really.
