Putting Them Outside for Good

I've had my plants under lights on a 18/6 schedule for a good while now. There about 10 to 12 inches now and wanted to know if I need to do anything before putting them outside for good. Also, will the light schedule change make them go into flower. I'm in central Cali and were only getting about 14 hours of light at the moment.

depends on the strain mostly, but alot of plants will flower if you put then out before the fist of June, or at least the last week of May. You can put a small light on em' for an hour befor daylight, and a hour after dark, and then they won't flower for sure. I have put mine this early before with no lights, and had them all flower, and then you lose alot of veg time getting them reverted back to veg.
