I have soil gnats (fungus gnats) buzzing around the tops of some of my plants and the bottom of my grow area. I've tried spraying them with a couple of things but nothing seems to work.
I read that Pyrethrum is basically one of the best things to use to get rid of most bugs without harming the plants.
I have a dog and I still have some SentryPro (monthly flea/tick treatment) laying around. They come in these little pouches (1.5ml) and the active ingredient in this product is Permethrin which is supposedly man made to be like Pyrethrum but stronger. This SentryPro has 45% of the stuff in it!
I've already sprayed my grow area and I'm not seeing any more flying around but I don't know how safe this is to actually spray on the soil.
Has anyone tried this or have any ideas on whether it might kill my plants?
