I've just started running co2 and have a question. Do you run straight co2 when the lights are on and exhaust the room in dark or do you exhaust every so often when the lights are on too? Thanks guys. If I'm missing anything let me know. Thanks fellas.

I use a CAP Co2 controller with a ppm monitor. When it gets too hot my intake turns on, then turns the co2 off. When it reaches the desired temp the controller turns the intake off and co2 kicks back on. It will allow it to reach 1500 then it shuts off. If you have a fan cooling you're lights you want it to be off as well while co2 is on otherwise it will waste the co2. Co2 only is beneficial during lights on. to really get it dialed in you got to invest in a nice Atmosphere controller, and a ppm monitor. Co2 can be constant, no need to exhaust it every so often. In fact the best way is to never exhaust and have a sealed room, an AC unit and Co2. No intake or exhaust. That's the way to do it.

Thanks for th quick reply, I'm running the cap 4 co2 controller and I do have a 35 pint dehumidifier and a ac that does not pull air from the room. Sounds like I need a atmosphere controller and a couple back draft. Dampers. I'm just new to.the sealed room thing.

I run a sealed room. Co2 on at lights on. YOu can exhaust during lights off.. I would't exhaust during lights on... Lights on + Co2 = food for the plants.

And my fan that cools the lights pulls air from the attic and exhausts into the attic.
Then you should just buy a AC and run a sealed environment.. look up C.E.A. Controlled Environment Agriculture. You are already pulling air from another room and exhausting into another room. Just dont get a single hose AC.

I dont know much about window units but sounds like you are set to run a sealed environment do a lil' more homework and get that shit fired up put some weather stripping on the grow room doors if you seal your room right your 20 LB tank should last you about 7 - 8 days..Mine does and after talking to other sealed room growers thats about what they get on a 20LB tank. Happy growing. Co2 on at lights on only.. Remember your plants are munching on nutes, co2, and sun light in return they will provide your room with fresh oxygen. Also I keep a carbon scrubber on the floor running 24/7 in bloom to scrub any stale air thats lingering around.
