Question about LST

So looking at restrictions(microgrow), i came up with a idea to maximize space.

If needed i guess i could make a diagram in paint, but the question is simple.

Could the seedling be trained right away to extend out of a seperate box from the grow. Imagine a rectangular grow space, now at the bottom side corner, a smaller retangular area will be made outside the main box at the side.

Could the plant be trained to extend into the room(maybe 2-3 inches) and then be trained downwards(plant now in the main box) to gain 4-6 inches, and then start a SOG type grow from there?

So u want ur roots to grow outside of the box?
Wat ur suggesting is very do-able, you can train a plant to do absolutely anything you want it to do provided you are gentle with it and use the right techniques..
Keep the seedling away from the light at 1st, this will give it that 2-3 inch stretch that u want so u can move it into ur grow box, then bring the light close and allow it to thicken itself up.
