ok so i got this organic fruit and veg fertaliser. (earthsafe) slow release. 4-3-5 plus 1% calcium. i know its not the most amazing stuff but its what i got right now . Basically what im wondering is if i can take a couple spoon fulls and let it sit in some water for a while, make some sort of a diluted water mix, or like a tea. I jus am not sure what much i should mix with how much water. It says on the label to apply 1kg to the top soil of 100ft squared. thats for a heavy feeding.
These are some of the contents in the fertalizer.
-soy meal,
-blood meal
-rock phosphate
-potassium sulphate
-baked egg shells
-langbeinite ( dont know what this is )
-kelp extract and kelp meal.

Aslo this stuff is like dusty pellets, and powder.
Any feed back would be much appreciated! thanks!

100ft. = 1kg 1kg = 2.2 lbs
50 ft. = 1.1 lbs
25 ft. = .55 lbs
12.5 ft. = .2525
6.25 ft. = .125125
3.125 ft. = .0625625
1.6 ft. = .03128125

This means that if your pot has a diameter of 1'6" that you should add .03128125 lbs. of fertilizer to the top of your plant.. Which means you should add 13 grams or less to the top soil of your plant.. i would stick to about 10 grams just to be safe..

Some of those ingredients are simply not going to dissolve in water and I would recommend against the tea idea.

Instead, why not use the product as it was designed to be used? Simply top dress and let regular waterings take care of it?

Sounds very similar to the Espoma Garden Tone I use. I apply ~1tbl to gallon of pot size once/month. Usually takes a couple of weeks to kick in good. If you want fast, organics is not for you.

If you want an amazing tea, pick up some alfalfa meal or pellets (rabbit food). Cheap, easy and the results really are amazing. EWC are great also, but might be difficult to source.
