Question about pot aroma.. Does all pot have a strong odor?

Can any pot if cured correctly have that killer dank aroma that can make one bud stink up your whole room? Or is that just particular strains that do it? Or, can it be accomplished by adding nutrients such as Big BUd, or any of the others that say they promote oil production?
