What's the difference between breeders?

Looking for what strains will be good in my climate zone. For example i found Wedding Glue auto from Fastbuds strain is ok fomy climate. My question actually is: what if i buy the same strain from other breeder what's the difference ?

The difference in breeders is how good are they at stabilizing the gene pool.

Many so called breeders take pollen and throw it at a plant with the fingers crossed hoping for something special. This creates weak genes which can easily become a problem.

Good breeders take years to hunt phenos, refine the search, and stabilize the genes in the seed pool before it ever comes close to the market.

Breeder quality matters.

Hucksters or in this hobby's term "pollen chuckers" are rampant. Look at how many "strains" there are. And they keep "inventing" more.

On the opposite side, you have guys like my friend Mr. Greengenes who bred Cherry Bomb for 14 generations.

It could be different plants used, different methods of feminizing, etc. Could also be two different "breeders" buying the same bulk seeds from Spain.

I shop at JBC seedbank because all the breeders they list are trustworthy. I may have my qualms with old world genetics, but their product isn't bad, they just bank heavily on nostalgia without providing what people are nostalgic for.

Akbb is great. Mephisto if you're an auto guy. Dynasty/relic are both run by professor P, who does phenomenal work.

They're adding blue star soon, and he's working DJ shorts (old world genetics) gear with other selections to bring back the blueberry terps.

Being a pollen chucker doesn't have to be a bad thing. It's just when pollen chuckers sell Instagram hype at $250 a pack, or more, then they're straight up hucksters.

Taking something to F14 is cool and all, but in most cases I'd want a breeder's F1 release of whatever noteworthy strain they created. F1, F2 for the hunt, F3+ for the stability and breeding potential, generally speaking.

"Being a pollen chuckar"....MRG, no one is buying YOUR $250 packs? Bummer.

Your thought about wanting an F1 release means nothing to me. Are you saying first breeding is the only one that counts? Stability seems to be what most want. But maybe you are different.

I'm saying inbreeding, back-crossing, reversing, they're all different tools in a breeder's tool box. A higher filial generation doesn't mean it's better, it just means it's more inbred. Good for stability. But F1 hybrid vigor is a real thing too. Good for finding an amazing specimen.

If I had the choice between Sensi's original 1994 F1 release of Jack Herer, and Sannie's F13, you can bet I'd take that F1.
