I'm making a batch of Super Soil. Subcool's directions say to mix the ingredients well, put the whole soil mix in a plastic trash can, add water, and put it out in the sun to "cook" for 30 days.
My question is this: should I seal the trash can top with duct tape in order to keep moisture in and spider mites out? Or does the mixture need to to "vent" a bit while its cooking?
