question from noob

Hey guys i was just about to order a 600-1000w hps/mh when i read that T5 lights were actually better because they are cooler
and their heat doesnt burn out the cannaboids from the plant.So to sum it up basically the writer said that hps/mh brought more yield
but T5s brought better quality .What do you guys think of this?should i believe any of this?Im confused

T5 are fluros. If you have the set up fr hps...get hps... If you dont hav the proper set up get cfl or t5

HPS is best but if you can't extract the air you would be better off with t5s. A 1000watt hps in say a 5x5 area is going to be easily 40 degrees hotter than ambient, if not more. I don't know for sure, but I know, in most cases, will easily be over 100 degrees and it will fuck your grow up.

Okay... HPS is always gonna be your best bet to FLOWER... But it will produce some heat. If you can't deal with the heat issue or if you just wanna save a dollar or two, you could go with the T5's... But I'm willing to bet you'd grow a run or two and say "damn, I shoulda bought that HPS"

T5s are good for a few things.. as mentioned above.. you will definitely notice a difference not only in how big your plants get, but the total production of the bud from them if you go HPS instead of T5 for flower, all things the same. If you would normally buy your weed, and you spend more in 3 months than you would to buy the HPS - there's your cost effectiveness/savings to start with. You buy the light, ta-dah.. more weed and it's cheaper.. yes? Even if you don't.. the HPS will more than reward you for what you've spent - just make sure you do price comparison shopping and check out which dealers are more reputable so you don't get a wonky piece of shit that has no real guarantee or warranty with it.
