Question, keeping a plant in vegetative state

I have a potted weed plant in which I take outside and take in everyday, atm the days are short, thus little hairs are finally beginning to show on my plant. When it becomes dark can I take the plant and put it under a single low watt bulb for a few more hours to account for shorter days, just to stop it flowering? In my current circumstances I won't be using any high watt set-ups so is it okay just to keep my plant under one low watt for roughly 2-3 more hours after dark?
