Question of the Day !!!!?????

So here's the question of day fellas ... Do I run 2 1000w HPS for flowering or do I run 1 1000w and 2 600w lights ? Goal is 10-15 plants in my flowering space around 4-6 ft tall on average full bloom . What do you think would yield more ? 2 monsters over the top Or 1 monster over the top and 2 600w for the sides ?

Dude...Plants never get enough light!

im pulling the same yield from a 600 then a 1000 watt light. just use all of them if you have not bought them yet . I suggest all 600 over the thousand any day. the light is closer . big time less heat. those 1k bulbs are stupid hot man. it takes a lot to cool them. the 600 even 2 600 not so much to cool. you would think 2 600 yea that's 1200 watts 200 more then a single thousand . its just spread out more the cool tubes stay very cool. those 1k light need to have the best fan money to buy to keep them cool

Well I'll go all 600s then . And spread them out . Ha

If you think 2 600 watt light bulbs are easier to cool than 1 1000 watt bulb you may need to return to high school. Don't run 600 horizontally with 6 ft plants.

You cant pull the same yield with a 600 as a 1000. I don't think I should even have to explain why.

No you don't have to explain why . Obviously a 1000 is by far much better and will get deeper penetration. So the question still remains 2 1000"s or 1 1000 and 2 600s

Are the age old question:
600's or 1000's.
It's right up there with the "Is God real" argument.
I'm a 600 kind of guy, 1000's will penetrate deeper but I also think anything deeper than a 3ft canopy is a waste. I finish my plants off at 4-4.5ft tall and that's with the bottom 1-1.5ft stripped out.

I run 2 600's in a 5x10x6.5 tent with 12 plants. 10 are just touching the 6' mark and have been kicked to the side of the hoods so I don't burn the tops.
next cycle ill run 10 plants. I want to add another 600, but not sure if I can justify the extra electricity expense. im very happy with my current yields.

and I have zero heat issues. 72/73* lights on and 71/72* lights off. I do run a portable ac unit feeding into my flower room during lights on. I have 2 6" 440cfm fans for my cool tube xxxl hoods ran inline of each other (fan/duct/light/duct/light/duct/fan).

Run 3 1000s

2 1ks will give you less yield then 1k and 2 600's but only by alittle and the bud density and trichome production under the 2 1ks will be much better then the 600's can do. Id run 3 1ks as jiji said!
