Hey all,
So I have a near sealed 7'x6'x8' room. Im running a 400 watt HPS in a hydrofarm daystar AC hood. I have a carbon filter running off a 4" inline fan that movesaround 290 cfm if I remember correctly.
I need an intake, and I only plan on venting the light when my climate controller kicks on the fan. Im gonna run CARBON > HOOD > FAN > EXHAUST.
If I place an active intake of about 80 cfm, will that prevent air that will smell from coming out of the intake when the exhaust isnt on?
I would really prefer not to run a big fan all the time. Uses a lot of power.
EDIT: I have a 2x4x5 grow tent I can set up inside the room. It would be separate from my veg box. Running that 4" fan off the carbon filter as an exhaust, and using a passive intake for the room would work. I could then climate control the flowering tent by buying a 6" inline fan that runs off the climate controller.
With this setup in mind, would that fan on the scrubber be enough to keep air being pulled into the room rather than escaping before being scrubbed? There is no where else air can escape except for very small crack underneath the door (MUCH smaller than usual)
