Hey all, question. I've been going from bubble cloner to solo cups then the 3 gallon pots i finish grow in. should i be going from solo cups to say 1 gallon pot then the 3 gal to finish?? would i get stronger plants this way?? looking for real input not jokes.....

Yeah I start mine in 1 gal to get the roots nice a big then transplant into 3 or 5 gal containers . It makes for stronger root system cuz in a small pot the soil gets a chance to dry out and the roots go searching for water makin the plants rooting system larger and stronger

used to grow in 3 gallon pots. i decided to try a pot of about 4 and a half gallons. what a difference! i doubled the yield. that's all i grow in now. also, i plant the seeds
directly into the finishing pot. less handling. GL

I do it the same way usually -- solo cup to final pot. Sometimes I leave the seedling in the solo cup
a few extra days after she gets rootbound. This makes the plant grow bushier.

It helps to put stone on the bottom and make a little well,..the root will go straight down after it !!

I'd say it depends how big you grow them in the solo cups, but some people plant a seed directly in a 5 gallon pot too. I guess it depends on you experience and skill level.

i use s-then m then lg pots.I get a better root ball this way.If I go from solo to 2 gallon the roots stretch w/o building good mass.Same theory as having the light to far away

If im growing them big I go .3 gal, 1.2gal, then 2.4 all airpots. You should try those little .3 gallon ones instead of solo cups. Ive found they build a solid root mass much faster and without the root circulation you get from solo cups they take off faster after a transplant.
