question on first time using Digital ballast

hey everyone,

so I've done grows before with Mother Nature (sunlight), and also CFL's, but this is my first time trying with a 1000w digital ballast and I'm a bit confused for safety procedure. (you'd think the instructions would be more informative for stoners like me lol)

it's a Nanolux dimmable ballast(there's a switch that goes to 100%, 75, 50), and there's no On/Off switch. on the instructions it says "do not unplug lamp cord or wall outlet while light is on", but doesn't explain how am I supposed to turn it off? I'm assuming to just turn the breaker off but is there another way?(and can someone confirm if this is the method)

lol....

sorry if this is a newbie as fuck question and rates 1 outta 10 on newb level but I don't wanna blow the bulb or break something as it's not my place, helping a friend and I'm new to digital ballasts.

any info is greatly appreciated

thanks!
Toby

Make sure you get the right voltage 220v or 110v. The 110v timers are only rated to 1350 watts.

The first time I used one, the fuse blew and welded back together the, cord burned up and it melted the fuse housing. Good thing I was home or the house might have burned down. I'm sure the technology has changed since then.
