if you are growin from seed it will take some time ( a month - month and a half) for the plant to be ready for flowering. for clones you can flower them anytime when they have roots.if you veg with cfls your plant(s) will not get to streched and will not be so tall. if you use HID lights the plant(s) will be more taller, because the light is on a bigger distance than with the cfls. Topping, Low Stress Testing (LST), Getting Indica, Using a MH light instead of HPS. That's how. Google them :P

wen is a gud time to top plants
well it all depends of your gona keep the plant as a mom till you can't keep her alive or not and if your going to flower the plant remember that the plant can grow 2 to 3 times biger when flowering (ie. 1 foot could get up to 3 feet [give or take some growth])

Just wondering why you say that from seed it takes some time for the plant to be ready? I have seen others say this as well. But it isn't true, you can flower a plant right from the start if you want, am I wrong? Maybe what you and others are saying needs to be re worded? Could you just explain this to me a little more. I have heard of several people flowering right from the start, and I myself have flowered a seed only a couple weeks after it broke soil. So I know it can be done, so what I guess maybe people should be saying is if you want a good yield or a good size plant you have to wait 4-6 weeks from seed to flower. I am not saying you are either wrong or right, would just like you to better explain it for me, because it is something that confuses me everytime I read it. THanks

never done it but i think from seed you can stick it on 12/12 to get it to stay small, but it will still take time for the plant to get a bit of decent growth before it actually starts flowering, whereas clones are already slightly ahead.

Right, that sounds right! So people must be wording it wrong when they say you have to wait 3-4 weeks, because you can put the lights 12/12 from the start. And yes the plant might not show its first flowers as soon, but you can still start flowering anytime.
So the answer is you can flower or put it in to flower 12/12 ANYTIME you want, seed or clone! How you want your plant to be when it is harvested is the question, to when you can start flowering. :) Thanks for your input on that! :) Still would like Cheetahs input! :) Thanks!
