Questions regarding crossing plants.

Greetings,

So I'm just trying to wrap my head around this "breeding" process. So I have 2 plants, one male one female. I started the male about 2 weeks before the female. I've currently placed them in the same tent to bloom. Is this as easy as just shaking the male up a little from the main stem and let it do it's thing? Or do I have to do something more complex than that? Also, will the weed that grows from this plant be the finale product? Or will the seeds found in the bud be the final product?

Grow specs

Polar bear cookie (male)
Acapulco gold (female)
400w hps
Growing in soil

If you have a fan in there just let them do their thing and you'll get plenty of seeds.

If you want any bud to smoke out of that let the male flower outside and just put some pollen on one bud with a qtip

Ooooh okok so the seeds that come from it will be the cross, not the actual bud that forms, got it... thanks brother

Have something to add? Or just another troll? People can't learn anymore on this fucking website? If you have something useful to say, say it. If not keep trolling kiddo.
I could REALLY be a dick here smart ass :finger:...You had better get used to folks having fun around here or you'll become a "target" quick like!....But, for the sake of being civil.....

The resulting seeds are now F1's. They will not be stable and contain various phenotypes. Some of those will express bad, good and "hopefully" for your sake, the rare GREAT one (chances of that with the cross your doing = next to 0! stranger things have happened..)!!
The next step would be to pop shit loads of the beans and "look" for the special pheno that will be used to grow with a male of the same seeds (better pick a good one of those too) to get you to F2's.....Now some breeders stop there and some of us go further out to maybe F4 (you should stop there as the resulting seeds from here on out get less healthy and loose vigor on a bell curve)...

Once you have a resulting cross you like - time to "cube" it......This involves backcrossing to stabilize the cross you made (so it doesn't "backslide" to one or the other parent plants or loose the traits you wanted.) This is done by using the male of the original breeding (from the original male and/or female) and you do it twice...

This is a very brief look at breeding.

I actually suggest that you get a book on breeding and LEARN something BEFORE you attempt it (you didn't even have a clue on what your results were! "the weed or the seed") ROTFLMAO!.....

Just what the weed world needs more of. Some half jacked breeding attempt that results in feeble genetics that will get passed around and possibly screw with gene pool....More then it already is......sigh..

I have one thing to add to that very informative post by Dr who.

Not everyone who shares that info actually practices it.

A lot of so called breeders like myself get lucky because beautiful parents mainly make beautiful kids, so don't be doscouraged. Know that the cannabis game is full of can'ts who get lucky and people who use other already fire work to make different strains and such. It's really fun when you start doing it but everyone wants to have that goose that lays the golden eggs know what I mean?

The next super bomb strain is always showing its face just remember to keep a clone of all of your seeds and keep track of who you breed with who. I use numbers, all of my "strains" are numbered and recorded so when I get something good I know what genes to put back in or whatnot.

Not everyone with a light saber went to Jedi school namsayin?

I don't buy clones, i breed my seeds I've had for years. If I said I invented them myself I could have a seed bank on here but I do this for my own personal experience, not for profit til cali says legal baby
