Questions using RO water and soilless mix.

Basically this type of mix doesn't come with any nutrients or fertilizer right?

If you use RO water with this type of soil would you use a lower dose of liquid fertilizer every time you water?

Or would you use it like the directions say every 1 2 3 etc. weeks?

Just starting to think about what kind of soil atm and I want to use a soilless mix and just want any tips on how and when to use nutrients and fertilizers.

Thanks, Uber

Now comon now.......you like to jump in and tell it all when there is a problem......let's hear something.

No ferts or nuts.....basic soilless mix.....start off using 1/4 dose? then up dose every couple of weeks?

Just pretend I have a major problem later this year when I do grow something! :D

I use ro. It's much easier to ph. It takes less ph up or down. I run promix. I start with a low ppm or EC of 20-20-20. Say .3 or so. I also would add a couple ml of calmag. Ph the whole mess and water the plant. Not to much. I use jrpeters fertilizer. I increase both as the plants get bigger and read the plants as far as when to increase or decrease. I switch to a bloom fert a couple weeks into flip. In a 5 gal bucket a 3 ft plant will need approximately an EC of 1 on the bb fert, 5ml of calmag per water. The ph I adjust to 6.1 give or take. I don't check runnoff etc. That's 700 Watts in 11 sq ft 4 5gal buckets. It's a bit tight.
