after my seeds have germinated ready to go in my room,

i have put the seeds just under the soil, so now do i put them in a propogation chamber with the lid on, or do i just put them in slightly damp soil straight under the metal halide bulb???

they dont need light until they break soil they can stay in the dark UNTIL! they break soil that metal halide maybe too much for the seedling i use a couple 24 watt cfls daylight spectrum they work great!!! till the plant gets bigger than throw them under the halide

it wouldnt hurt but yeah seedlings like high humidity 70-80% just put the lights right above the chamber i dont have a chamber i use party cups with plastic wrap over the top to create a little humidity dome effect...

the only problem is that im using a 600w metal halide bulb in a budbox tent so i literally have the light right at the top of my tent around 6 foot away from my seedlings and cuttings, is this too far away????

i have my seedlings and cuttings both together in a propogation dome, the heat was around 82 degrees in the dome. this sound ok?

you could have a 600w MH 20ft away from seedlings and it would still work

take the lid off before the stems bend to one side as you will notice a little stretching in a propigator - natural wind will encourage them to have strong thick stems

yeah thanks for ur help nox. i think i will leave all my cuttings in the propogator until they root, and i will leave my seeds in there until they sprout above the soil.

and i will also bring my light down.
