Quick Question about Auto's

I have read a whole lot about auto's and I understand everything about them for the most part. I understand that you don't need to change the photo period for them to begin flowering. So that being said does that mean it benefits the strain to have the lights on a majority of the time? Or should you still try and have the lights on/off for 12/12 and 14/10 or whatever. If that weren't the case than that would mean I could essentially have a few of these plants going in my veg room that receives 18/6. Has anyone had experience doing this before?

Autos best run in 18/6 20/4 or 24 hours,in ssome people's opinion the plants need a couple hours dark to rest or whatever, I personally use 18/6

They do really well 18/6 or 20/4 because it gives them the rest period which is just part of the natural cycle of the day, but it gives them ample light to take in while still flowering which is a huge bonus :) J

24/0
the plant evolved to grow balls to the wall start to finish
the guys pulling big yields from them are on 24/0 for the most part
its not a photo so there is no need for a dark period the dark period for a photo is not for rest its to trigger flowering
my plants never look tired and show new growth every day
but hell maybe its just one fluke grow after another , after another .........

I'm doing my first auto now and am very happy on 20/4. That said the more light they receive the bigger they will get. 18/6 will be fine, from what I gathered going thru all the info before I started autos 18/6 is the minimum you'd want to run to end with a decent harvest. If money wasnt a factor I'd run my 600w mh 24/0 but I'm not Richie rich so 20/4 for me..t5ho's and LEDs I'd stay with 24/0 .

From most of the information that I gathered from journals and seed vendor websites, a 18/6 or 20/4 cycle is recommended. I also remember readin that if you were to switch to 12/12 cycle that your yield will be slightly lower in comparison to keeping it at one cycle. I haven't tried any experiments yet, but personally, i'd go with 18/6. good luck killa!
