Quick question about light cycle

Im away on a trip and I need to have my friend stop by and water my plants mid trip. The plants are in a 14 hour dark cycle during the day from 8 to 10. Would it be harmful to have the plants watered mid day when my friend is available temporarily interrupting the light cycle for less than 3 minutes? This will only be one time.

If he can make the outside room pitch black and use a green light, you are golden. Could of set up timed drippers for less than 20.

Can't say how much light will stop/slow flowering. Sorry.

Im confused by temporarily disrupt the light cycle. Or did you mean turn a light on during dark. A few minutes one time is nothing. People say not even once like theres never a full moon that interupts pitch black in nature. Have a good trip my dude.

I do it all the time with my little led flash light on my phone. I like to water during dark cycle for two reason. 1) plants seems to like it and 2) The lights comes on too late during the night and I have to go to work therefore I’m not out there watering late at night! As long as he’s not turning on the hps full blast and being in there for over 10-20 minutes!

Can you link me to these drippers please?

Thank you.

This will be ambient light coming into the box for about a minute without any grow lights on, thanks for the info guys!! To clarify I meant the dark cycle.

Pretty sure this is false, because the moon is simply reflecting the light of the Sun, and people use Gaslight Timing all the time.

Yes it is, moonlight even contains UV light. Thing is the moon is only full and bright a couple of days a month. Not a long enough period to reverse a plants growth cycle. And its actually a pretty poor reflector of light. Seems bright to our eyes, not so much too plants.

Home depot/Lowes etc

0.5 gph drippers 2$
1/4" poly water line. 5$
Small pump8$ or gravity feed
5g bucket 3$
Timer 5$ optional

That's a basic but working list, I use 1/2 feed line also and have it feed the 1/4"s off off a 40g resivior for flexibility.
