Since Mighty Wash is 99% water, I doubt it will impart any taste on the buds. And yes, plants that are attacked will produce less, sometimes a lot less. I like Liquid Ladybug more then Mighty Wash because it evaporates off the plant quickly and leaves no residuals.......

You will have to use the mighty wash, apply once then again 5 days later to kill new hatched eggs. Spray it on the floor ,and vacuum every day for a week.

The same company that makes Mighty Wash also make a plant wash to use after the Mighty Mash. Mighty Wash has a very low pH, like 4.4. The plant wash has an opposite pH, up high above 8.0 which will offset any pH swings. Too much Mighty Wash in your medium, from dripping off the plant, could lower your pH. So, it's recommended to you the plant wash too. When I use Mighty Wash, Liquid Ladybug, Sucrashield, neem oil, etc.- I always wash the walls, floors and pots too. Mites are everywhere.....

This is a good example of why temporary quarantine of anything brought into your house is a good idea. If you have plants already then quarantine incoming to check for things like insects or plant diseases.
