quick question about watering

I did a quick 5 minute search but i couldn't find anything, i'm sure my answer is here somewhere but it's probably quicker and easier to just ask.

Why do the leaves droop down after watering, and should i be watering when they get all perked up?

Sorry, I know this is probably a really common question, but i honestly did search and couldn't find anything.

I always assumed it was water weight that was just a bit over the strength of the stems.

That seems plausible. but is the perking up a sign of needing water?

pics would help, but drooping leaves can be a sign of overwatering. you should be watering enough for water to flow out of the bottom, then wait until the soil dries down a couple of inches. you;ll end up watering about every three days if your pot is sized correctly.
